I founded Sherwood Properties to create beautiful living spaces for other traveling professionals. I found my love for hospitality during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a traveling emergency physician, I’d leave a long 12 or 24-hour shift only to return to a generic and cold hotel room. You deserve comfort, care, and luxury, even while you’re working. Hello! I’m Kaylen, but call me Kay. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Atlanta for a few years. I love to travel and run errands with my puppy, Koda. I look forward to working with you! Kay
A World War II Army Veteran and the only son of ten children, Sherwood was born in Crossette, Arkansas. He met Ruth Womack in April 1946 and married in August of 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Together, Sherwood and Ruth became serial entrepreneurs, running a restaurant and tavern as well as owning and managing other properties around Milwaukee. The Browns were the working middle-class family of the day during segregation. Entrepreneurship allowed the Browns and their growing family to earn a living and not be at the mercy of a system to provide a way of life. Sherwood inspired others in the community to open their own businesses and supported them by offering start-up and operations advice. Sherwood is the loving grandfather of Kimberly and the namesake of Sherwood Properties.
Centrally located in the Medical District, all of Memphis’ area hospitals are under a 30 minute drive. During your time off, Memphis’ best restaurants and attractions are a short drive away. Our locations are all carefully chosen to make your stay better in every-way.
